WFS Supports Project Vision to Assist Families Throughout the Communities
WE2 Support Services (a subsidiary of Waséyabek Federal Services) employees joined other volunteers in Aiken County, South Carolina, to participate in Project VISION’S annual “Day of Caring” on March 13, 2020. Each year, the event, organized by the Area Churches Together Serving (ACTS) and the local United Way, draws hundreds of volunteers who donate their time and skills, performing repairs to support the mission of Project VISION: Provide low income disabled and senior citizens who are owner-occupant homeowners with essential home repairs via the coordination of skilled volunteers and the supplying of building materials.
Project VISION was established in 1996 to help United Way of Aiken County Partner Agencies with facility upkeep.
“I wanted to take another moment to thank each of you for volunteering and then spending a day at Area Churches Together Serving (ACTS) on Park Avenue in Aiken for Project Vision 2020,” said ACTS Board of Director Member Tom Boykin. “The work you accomplished is nothing short of phenomenal. It could not have been accomplished without your dedication and tireless labor. The volunteers at ACTS and United Way were amazed at how much work was completed and how successful it was. As a Board of Directors member of ACTS, I wanted to pass along the Board’s appreciation for your volunteerism and the professional manner in which all the projects were completed.
